German delegation worked in Ulaanbaatar during the 18 – 27 September, 2022

German doctors and nurses headed by Prof. Walter Popp, HyKoMed, Germany worked in Mongolia during the18 – 27 September 2022.

The main reason for this trip was to conduct a training for “Link Nurses” and it is based on German training courses for link nurses. The training course was held cooperation with Mongolian Nurses Association (MNA). The first course took place in September, 2022, and it consisted of 4 full days of training and presentations with the following topics:

1. Microbiology 1, basics
2. Cleaning, disinfection, sterilization
3. Hepatitis
4. Organization and work of hospital hygiene units
5. Microbiology 2, multiresistant bacteria
6. Reprocessing of medical devices – instruments
7. Outbreaks
8. Media work and hygiene
9. Reprocessing of flexible endoscopes
10. Dentistry and reprocessing of instruments in dentistry
11. Tuberculosis
12. Environmental examinations
13. Nosocomial infections (NIs) – definition, most important NIs, causes, surveillance 2
14. Construction
15. Modern disinfectants – view of a producer
16. Injections, punctions, infusions, central venous catheters
17. Inspections

The second part of the course will take place on January 2023, Mongolia.

Moreover, some of the delegations visited Hospital No1, Maternity hospital No 3 and Nalaikh district hospital.
