5th Hygiene Symposium organized in Mongolia

With the help of MedClean LLC and numerous German Healthcare Companies the “Mongolian Emergency Service and Hospital Hygiene Project” (MeshHp) organized the 5th German-Mongolian symposium on “Hospital Hygiene and Infection Prevention and Control“ on 14/15 September 2016 at the Conference Hall of Mongolian National Chamber Of Commerce and Industry.

More than 450 doctors, hygienists and epidemiologists from all over Mongolia participated in this first 2-day symposium.

The symposium was opened by the newly-appointed State Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Sport of Mongolia, Mrs.Oyunchimeg, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Mongolia, Stefan Duppel and Dr. Soe Nyunt-U, WHO Representative in Mongolia.

Covered topics of the symposium included the different techniques and technologies of the reprocessment of medical devices, Blood-Bank-Safety, Zoonotic Diseases as well as microbiological examinations.

German Companies (Dr. Weigert GmbH & Co. KG, MMM Group, STERIS Deutschland GmbH, VP Stericlin, B.Braun Medical Industries, Aesculap Division, Erbe Elektromedizin GmbH, BHT Hygienetechnik GmbH, MVZ Dr. Eberhard und Partner) introduced the newest technologies of the industry to the participants.

The symposium is part of the MeshHp-Project which - since 2010 - engages in strengthening the current situation of hygiene standards, infection control as well as the training and development of the emergency service capacities within Mongolia. The project is implemented through trainings in Mongolia and Germany, scientific cooperation as well as trough Know/How Transfer.
